CO-KOMI

EU Politicians have identified that the solution to urban housing crises is to make rural areas competitive places to live and work. As a result, more funds are becoming available for rural development.⁣

The development plan for Komi - a farming village on the Greek island Tinos - demonstrates how real locals, with their existing skills and assets, can tackle population decline and turn Komi into a competitive and global village. Komi's new identity challenges the role of rural and contributes to the topical issue of environment and waste. By redefining the value of plastic waste it can become a beautiful, local a profitable asset.⁣
